SIX MILES
AT SEA

The premier film history of Long Beach Island is based on historian and writer John Bailey Lloyd's two books, Eighteen Miles of History and Six Miles at Sea. This video documentary vividly details more than two hundred years of local hisory. Diaries, personal stories, archival and family photographs add to this extraordinarily moving portrait of a grand old island. Within the film, John Bailey Lloyd captivates by sharing historical accounts and details gained from years of research.

TUCKER’S ISLAND

Before Long Beach Island was known as a summer resort there was Tucker's Island. This true, Atlantis-like tale begins with the tragic experiences of the first known settlers to the lost island south of present-day Beach Haven. Through this film we learn how New Jersey's first Seashore resort came to be abandoned, reclaimed by stroms, tides and shifting sand, and nearly forgotten. Featuring local historian John Bailey Lloyd, and the last living residents' memories of the final years of Tucker's Island.

BARNEGAT LIGHTHOUSE
and Barnegat City

The history of a small fishing village and the lighthouse that made it famous, this film explores the history of Barnegat Lighthouse, the shore's most beloved landmark, as well as the evolution of a shore town that has retained much of its seashore charm. Featuring Long Beach Island historian John Bailey Lloyd, as well as Thomas P. Farner (New Jersey In History: Fighting to be Heard) iand Bill Gately (Sentinels of the Shore)

BOARDWALK: Greetings from Wildwood by the Sea

One of the last of the world's great boardwalks is the subject of this loving documentary film that aired on PBS, on Comcast, and at the Cape May Film Festival. "Recommended viewing," said the Philadelphia Inquirer. "Generously poetic and a must see," wrote Philadelphia Weekly. Experience the Boardwalk in all seasons from its full summer glory to the dead of winter when it is snowbound and forgotten.
